WISH LIST
Did you know that our foxes love their Little Tikes playhouse? Our mountain lion rests during the day on a huge wooden cable spool. In fact, all the animals in the sanctuary have their own wish lists. So does our staff!
Items like these are used each day in the sanctuary to further enhance the high quality care we provide each of our animals. Many enrichment items can be found on our Amazon Wish List. To donate a gently used item, or another item from our wish list, please call 650.712.0800 or email

VOLUNTEER
Teen Volunteer Program
Helping prepare daily meals for the animals, cleaning and maintaining enclosures, landscaping, and making enrichment toys are some of the many opportunities high school students may have to participate in caring for the animals in the sanctuary.
Our teen volunteers develop a work ethic and social skills that last a lifetime; those who have been a part of the program for a significant period of time may become mentors for the younger volunteers.
Adult Volunteer Program
Working closely with staff, adult volunteers help prepare daily meals for the animals, clean and maintain enclosures, landscaping, and making enrichment toys. You will learn how to care for and enrich the lives of the amazing animals at our sanctuary.
Adult volunteers make a regular commitment of their time and energy to assist us in caring for the animals in a variety of ways. Our adult volunteers range from college students to retirees, and they represent a wide variety of careers. Some are exploring wildlife-related career options; others are simply seeking a way to contribute to their community and to the well-being of animals in general.
Corporate Volunteer Days
“I was hoping to gain some experience working with animals. Along the way I learned so much about animals and a lot about myself.”
~Janelle, teen volunteer
